ABOUT THE TOURNAMENTs
What began as one girl’s recovery story has become a family movement of hope and healing. The Simon Family — Daniella (Mom), Jonathan (Dad), Valerie, Vanessa, Victoria, and Zachary — have turned adversity into action through Serve for Strength.
The Serve for Strength Foundation began in September 2024 after founder Valerie faced two major ankle bone surgeries that changed the course of her life. Determined to turn her pain into purpose, she launched her first pickleball fundraiser to support the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) Foot & Ankle Department—the incredible team that helped her through her tough recovery.
Raising and Donating $1,000 was just the start. Since then, the foundation has hosted several community events.
Serve For Strength was born out of the hope that Valerie would one day walk again. That hope drives the foundation and its goal of making this world a better place.
